The CT dept is very organized. Fast paced paced work environment with very busy Er. Great learning environment due to it being a teaching facility. Very  organized protocols that help with the complex protocols performed. Yvette the CT manager handles any problems that arise in a prompt manner. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to expand their CT knowledge.

UAB is very big and busy hospital. I worked there for 5 years and don’t regret it one bit. The assignments may be heavy but every one is helpful.

UAB was my first travel experience coming from a small hospital.  I learned so much.  It is a teaching facility.  The staff and management were very supportive.  It is very large, but not impersonal.  I worked with some wonderful people.  You will probably work on both floors (yes two ORs on two floors).  The team leaders were very helpful.

Under new clinic management, the culture is changing for the better. The pay is not up to the industry average. The  position responsibilities requires much more than what the compensation.
