UAB was my first travel experience coming from a small hospital.  I learned so much.  It is a teaching facility.  The staff and management were very supportive.  It is very large, but not impersonal.  I worked with some wonderful people.  You will probably work on both floors (yes two ORs on two floors).  The team leaders were very helpful.

Treat your staff and travelers better. There is a reason you have over 25 X-ray travelers and not enough staff.

Worst hospital I’ve been to. Manager would have conversations with me and be polite then turn around and tell my recruiter that I refused assignments. Had many concerns that were brought to the attention of my recruiter and the manager with no solution. I felt like my license was at risk so I paid the termination fee and ended my contract after 6 weeks.
