Decent pay, although huge pay cuts that no longer make the contract worth it

-Constant floating outside your specialty—> leads to instant burnout and no desire to extend -claim to be traveler friendly, but units like PICU are very cliquish and staff does not speak to you or bother to learn your name and interact. -claim to be traveler friendly, but expect to get the problem families, worst patients, no support against these families/patients, and unit lowest acuity with highest workload every shift. If you are ICU, you will never see the ICU unit and if you do, never care for an ICU patient. I would not call them traveler friendly as they treat travelers in a manner to take the scutwork of the unit, be their glorified hospital-wide float pool, and ultimately burn you out to the point of not wanting to extend. Many MANY travelers echo these same complaints yet state they extended simply bc live within few hours distance drive so convenient, OR nothing else paying at the moment or else they’d quickly move on
