Good: Hospital quality is wonderful.. BAD: the staff treated travelers poorly!!! They offered a bonus if you stayed for 13 weeks.. and i see why!!!  I had a patient who needed a pacer @ 2300. Offered to stay and go with md and pt to IR where md placed pacer. Supervisor approved this. when i signed out, the oncoming supervisor told me to come in 3 hours later to offset the OT.. next day, i get a call from ED saying why am i not there.. this is just one of many situations!!!

      <p>American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in New York, requiring a NY RN license and alternating weekend shifts.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Work on a medical-surgical floor in a hospital setting</li><li>Nephrology patient population may be encountered</li><li>Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three shifts per week</li><li>Alternating weekend coverage required</li><li>Floating to other medical-surgical units may be required</li><li>Responsibilities include caring for adult patients on a med/surg unit, with possible nephrology cases</li><li>Use of Kronos for timekeeping</li><li>Alternating weekend schedule is mandatory</li><li>Local candidates are allowed within 60 miles at a reduced rate</li></ul>
          
      <h2>Requirements</h2>
      <ul><li>Active NY RN license required</li><li>Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required</li><li>At least 2 years of RN experience required</li><li>Med/Surg nephrology experience preferred</li><li>Two recent professional references from a manager or above are required</li></ul>
