Staff  are not very welcoming at first. Will warm up to you.. The majority of staff are very nice and helpful. I enjoyed my time at Ventura. Surgeons we great. Would go back.

      <h2>Job Description</h2>
      <p>American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Trauma ICU position requiring a CA license, trauma ICU experience, and night shifts.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Work in the Trauma ICU of a hospital setting</li><li>Patient population includes adolescents through geriatrics</li><li>Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2</li><li>Three 12-hour night shifts per week (18:45–07:15)</li><li>Floating required within service line</li><li>Uses Cerner EMR; prior Cerner experience required</li><li>Responsibilities include management of multi-system organ failure, acute stroke, post-neurosurgery recovery, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury</li><li>Skills required include arterial line and central line care, CVVHD/CRRT, ventilator management, ICP monitoring, and use of hypothermia protocols</li><li>Must be proficient with phlebotomy, wound care, blood product administration, sedation, and ventilated patient care</li><li>Assist with procedural tasks such as chest tube insertion and removal</li><li>Required to utilize PPE and follow strict infection prevention protocols</li><li>Request for time off must be included at the time of initial consideration</li></ul>

      <ul><li>Active CA RN license required</li><li>Minimum of 1 year of recent Trauma ICU experience</li><li>Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC or TCAR</li><li>Preferred certifications: CPI, MAB</li><li>Cerner charting experience required</li><li>Previous ICU and trauma experience required</li><li>Not accepting first-time travelers</li><li>COVID vaccination required</li></ul>
