This hospital is very traveler friendly. Busy level 2, they have two GE and one Siemens scanner, EPIC. The staff were great and very friendly! The workload will keep you busy they do a lot of outpatients during the week, as well as ER and Inpatients. The only issue I really had was trying to get help/opinions from the radiologists. They weren’t very helpful and sometimes it could be frustrating when trying to get the right scan done.

The management is basically nonexistent which is why they have been utilizing travelers for years now. The staff turnover is unbelievable! Also experienced discrimination when it came to scheduling. Would not recommend until management changes.

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM 
• Schedule: Wednesday through Friday, 3 shifts per week 
• 13-week assignment duration 
• 24 hours of orientation required 
• Must complete EPIC online class on day 1 
• Required to wear grey scrubs 
• Handle approximately 130 visits per day across 3 rooms 
• Work with patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, and geriatrics 
• ARRT Registered CT Technologist certification required 
• Virginia license required (can start pending license with proof of application) 
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience required 
• BLS certification required 
• Experience with GE or Siemens scanners and PACS required 
• Must be proficient in various CT procedures including abdomen, pelvis, chest, and head scans with/without contrast 
• Experience required with brain perfusion, multiplanar reconstruction, vascular CTA, and musculoskeletal trauma 
• Ability to start peripheral IVs required 
• EPIC experience preferred 
• First time travelers accepted 
• Up to 7 hours of non-billable modules required during orientation 
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1st - March 31st)
