      <h2>Job Description</h2>
      <p>American Traveler is seeking a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist with 2+ years' experience and ARDMS certification for a dynamic role performing a variety of diagnostic sonography procedures.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Position is based in a healthcare facility with inpatient, emergency department, and outpatient settings</li><li>Performs invasive and non-invasive ultrasound procedures including biopsies, routine OB/GYN, vascular venous and arterial studies, abdominal, small parts, intra-cavity, and color Doppler imaging</li><li>Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with every other weekend required</li><li>Holiday coverage and weekday/weekend call as scheduled</li><li>Responsible for producing quality diagnostic images by selecting appropriate technical factors and equipment settings</li><li>Obtains and reviews patient history, verifies orders, and ensures accurate documentation</li><li>Operates and maintains sonographic equipment, manages patient schedules, and upholds equipment and work area standards</li><li>Performs appropriate sterilization techniques and maintains documentation logs</li><li>Adheres to The Joint Commission, federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and protocols</li><li>Must maintain high standards of medical ethics and pursue ongoing professional development</li><li>Works independently to communicate findings and collaborate with multidisciplinary team</li><li>No local candidates accepted; candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility</li><li>No more than 5 days of requested time off will be considered</li></ul>
          
      <h2>Requirements</h2>
      <ul><li>Minimum of 2 years' experience in general ultrasound and vascular sonography</li><li>Active ARDMS certification required</li><li>BLS (AHA) certification required</li><li>Experience in abdominal and OB sonography required</li><li>Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, and patient communication skills necessary</li><li>Ability to multitask in a complex environment with changing priorities</li><li>License required if applicable</li></ul>
