Only downfall is how expensive the housing is there

Lots of managerial problems, very physician preference driven despite ACOG guidelines, and the physician nurse relationship is very strained. Great place to work. 1:1 ratio pretty much the whole time, lots of autonomy, small community hospital with the deliveries of a city hospital, so resources can be strained, but the teamwork between the nurses is outstanding. The hospital clearly doesn't care about retaining staff or overall staff happiness but what's new. There's a Starbucks in the hospital too!!

Work 48 hrs/week was a nice small facility, but as a typical traveler you were pushed to do all the cases that no one else wanted to. Food wasn't terrible, staff is close knit, they will talk about you. Just be on your game, know what you're doing and advocate for yourself and needs. The managers were usually pretty accomadating to needs.
