Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg

Job Details:
• Work 3x12 night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM 
• 36 guaranteed hours per week 
• Minimum 3 weekends required in 6-week period 
• Patient ratio of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends 
• Possibility of being placed on call and floating depending on unit/hospital needs 
• Must be comfortable with pediatric population 
• Primary nursing responsibilities including vitals and phlebotomy 
• Communication with techs throughout shift for assistance 
• 1 year of experience required, first-time travelers accepted 
• Telemetry experience required, ambulatory and med/surg experience preferred 
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS (PALS required before start) 
• Any color scrubs acceptable - must look professional 
• Charting system: Meditech 
• 12-hour orientation provided 
• Maximum 7 days PTO allowed 
• If calling in for a shift, must pick up another shift to make up for the absence 
• Must complete up to 8 hours of modules within 1 week of signing

This 78-bed short-term acute care facility provides comprehensive medical and surgical services to the community. The facility maintains telemetry monitoring capabilities and treats a diverse patient population including adults, pediatrics, adolescents, and geriatrics. The medical-surgical unit features 26 beds with a daily census of approximately 20 patients, handling conditions ranging from chest pain and cardiac issues to post-operative care and pediatric observation cases. The facility emphasizes primary nursing care and maintains interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
