Pros
It’s a good place for a nurse that is just starting out is smaller and slower paced so it’s easier for new nurses get a handle on things
Cons
Very hostile work environment most of the nurses that already work there have never worked anywhere else and have been spoiled by the slower paced. They complain about everything and are unsure of themselves as nurses which makes them unfit to teach newcomers. Most of them are rude and wannabe bullies. There was one non-white employee per each dept when I was working there in 2022, but it is bowling green so I suppose a bit of racism should be expected. After a RN started spreading rumors about me waiting at her car to fight her and management refused to do anything about it I gave up and put my notice in rather than stepping away from my career completely which I pondered quite a few times while working there.
