Yuma was a great little spot to be for 2 assignments. It’s 2.5 hours from San Diego or Phoenix. It’s driving distance to Vegas. Very close to Mexico if you travel there. Lots of hiking trails and points of interest close by. Great food & people.

The hospital itself is decent. Has a Starbucks. Preop had a great group of people always willing to help each other out. Would go back.

Middle Ground

Ambulatory Surgery

Radiation Therapist

5:1 ratio in ER...can be tough at times but the techs help tremendously ! Also has dedicated transport personnel to take patients to floor. Case Management available 24/7 who also take care of any transfers etc.

Post Partum

It served its purpose. The nice thing about this hospital was that they contract with a local apartment complex that they rent out for very reasonable rates. Hopefully they’ve changed out their Vocera system because it sucks.

Meh..

The patients are very sick and the nurse to patient ratios are 5/1. They also have you sign a contract to chart every hour which is almost impossible with 5 very sick patients. They also make you sign a contract that you won’t use your cell phone while on shift.

Surgical Technician

Ultrasound Technologist

It doesn’t matter how good of a job you do but how well you submit to their core staff.

RN II

My experience sucked from chimpanA to chimpanZ. Nothing about it worked out well, the pay is mid the people are mid the location is hot as well as mid.

Avoid like the plague
