Travel friendly, they definitely follow ratios, 1 admit per nurse max, there’s always a break nurse aside from the charge nurse, downside is parking, $130 per month or $30 per day, lots of food outside the hospital.

The hospital cut off most of the ancillary staff such as the phlebotomist. Not all units had a toxic work culture but the unit (H66/68) was. Otherwise, everybody else in the hospital was wonderful. You are the first to float since you’re agency. I decided on night shift because having a 4 patient ratio with no nursing assistants and phlebotomists to help is too chaotic.

Trauma sicu will put you on every single weekend, the scheduler is the unit bully and also tries to micromanage. The staff are anti traveler and not very helpful. Their workweek is sat-Friday. You have to go to staffing office on 7th floor to clock in/out with a stamp. The area isn’t safe, and multiple RNs have come out to either their car stolen or tampered with, one even had a bum sleeping in their car. Honestly, it ain’t worth the money.
