 Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) RN for a high-acuity, 26-bed inpatient cardiac open-heart and thoracic vascular unit. This role provides care for patients with STEMI, NSTEMI, Heart Failure, Pulmonary Emboli, electrophysiology conditions, and overflow from the MICU, including patients requiring ECMO therapy. The unit performs a mix of open-heart surgeries (CABG, valve, or combined) and select thoracic procedures (lobectomy, wedge resection, VATS), averaging 1 open-heart surgery per day, Monday–Friday. Patients are monitored continuously in a fast-paced, critical care environment with nurse-to-patient ratios ranging 1:1 to 1:2, occasionally up to 1:3. Responsibilities Independently obtain labs, start IVs, and provide high-acuity patient care 
Manage post-operative open-heart and thoracic surgery patients 
Care for critically ill MICU overflow patients, including potential ECMO cases 
Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC EMR Requirements
