We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology and hold certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). A strong ability to operate MRI equipment effectively while ensuring patient comfort and delivering accurate diagnostic imaging results is essential. Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to stand for extended periods is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning environment.
• Collaborate with physicians to provide accurate diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to enhance comfort.
• Insert IVs as needed for tests.
• Document all procedures while ensuring patient confidentiality.
• Perform patient care tasks as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two (2) years of MRI experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Experience operating GE MRI scanners is essential.
• Prior experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center is preferred.
• ARRT certification is required.
• Injection certification is mandatory.
• NYS Radiologic Technologist license (must be willing to obtain after starting).

This position involves working Sunday through Thursday from 10 PM to 6:30 AM, including holiday shifts as needed. Additionally, candidates should be prepared for on-call duties in response to unit needs.
