Job Description

An opportunity is available for a skilled Interventional Radiologic Technologist with a focus on neuro and body procedures. The position requires expertise in various imaging techniques and the ability to function within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of interventional radiology procedures including stenting, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, kyphoplasty, biopsies, drainages, and vascular studies.
• Utilize Siemens and Phillips x-ray equipment effectively.
• Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding of the process.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records throughout procedures.
• Participate in a call rotation to provide 24/7 coverage for urgent cases.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in interventional radiology required; traveler experience preferred.
• Experience with various imaging procedures specific to neuro and body interventions.
• Proficient in the use of PACS and ability to administer contrast agents.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a clinical team.
• Certifications: BLS and ARRT are mandatory.

Preferred Skills and Certifications

• ARRT Advanced Certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with EPIC and McKesson systems.
• Experience in outpatient, operating room, emergency room, and Level I trauma settings is advantageous.

Work Schedule

The position requires first shift availability, with staggered start times between 0700 and 0830 for a 4x10 hour workweek, Monday through Friday. The day off will vary each week. The candidate will participate in primary and backup call rotations, with evening, night, and weekend on-call responsibilities.

Patient Demographics

This role primarily involves adult and geriatric patients, with some adolescents requiring specialized care in neurological and body procedures.

Daily Case Load

The expected daily case load is approximately 13 to 17 procedures.

Orientation and Attire

The selected candidate will undergo a comprehensive hospital orientation in the first week and will be expected to wear provided scrubs during their shifts.
