We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our nursing team. This position offers an opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Position Overview

The Medical/Surgical RN will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care to adult and geriatric patients. The role requires critical thinking skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision while providing optimal nursing practices.

Unit Information

• Patient Ratios: 5:1 to 6:1
• Equipment: Telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pump, Bladder scanner, Dynamaps
• EHR: Cerner

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
• Manage patient care in a stressful environment and respond with appropriate actions during emergencies.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to established protocols.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical/surgical setting required.
• Licensure: Must possess a valid state nursing license.
• Certifications: ACLS certification required.

Dress Code

Employees are expected to adhere to the dress code of galaxy blue scrubs (navy is also acceptable). Attire must be professional and comply with hygiene policies.
