Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe and effective patient care through the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role involves providing direct patient care within the defined scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care throughout the antepartum and postpartum periods.
• Guide and instruct patient and family education, as well as oversee the activities of other nursing personnel.
• Respond promptly and accurately to changes in patient conditions and treatment responses.
• Ensure a secure environment for patients and visitors.
• Utilize the chain of command to address issues affecting patient care.

Credentials and Qualifications

• Valid nursing license.
• Completion of required personal health history vaccinations and screenings.
• Successful completion of designated competency exams and skills checklists.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
