Registered Nurse (RN) - LTAC/Telemetry

Role Overview

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering patient care by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. This position requires critical thinking, scientific judgment, and effective leadership to ensure safe and efficient patient care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care while maintaining clinical competencies and compliance with hospital procedures.
• Demonstrate and apply critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in patient assessment and care planning.
• Delegate and supervise patient care tasks among nursing staff based on their education and experience.
• Maintain and enhance clinical knowledge through ongoing education and professional development.
• Ensure safe delivery of care for patients with complex medical needs, including those requiring ventilators and tracheostomies.

Qualifications

• Current Florida RN license or multi-state compact RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications, valid and issued through the American Heart Association.
• Experience with ventilators and tracheostomies is required.
• Knowledge of central line management is essential.
• Preferred experience in wound care.
