Join our dedicated team at WCS Healthcare Partners in Penn Highlands DuBois in DuBois, PA, where you'll be part of a new, state-of-the-art Neuro/Trauma Critical Care Unit. This facility is equipped with advanced technology to provide top-notch care for post-trauma and neurosurgery patients. DuBois offers a community-focused environment with a rich blend of cultural and outdoor activities, making it an ideal place for both work and leisure.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level, specialized nursing care in the Neuro Trauma ICU.
- Manage complex neurological and trauma cases with a multidisciplinary team.
- Monitor and manage patients using advanced critical care technology.
- Ensure adherence to infection prevention and isolation protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary support services including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and more.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.
- Must hold a PA or compact nursing license.
- Completion of at least one travel assignment is required.
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS.
- Experience with Cerner charting system.
- Proficiency in managing ventilators, arterial lines, and other ICU-specific skills.
- Preferably with Trauma Level II experience.
