Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Level I Trauma Center.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias.
• Care for ventilated patients and manage emergency situations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Triage patients and prioritize care based on acuity.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an emergency room setting.
• Experience in a Trauma Level I facility is required.
• Pediatric experience is strongly preferred.
• Must have a permanent MA nursing license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is required.
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is required.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is required.
• Proficiency in EPIC is preferred.

Patient Care Details

• Care for patients across all age groups: neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
