Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to patients in their homes with cognitive and/or physical impairments due to injury, disease, or disability.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and allied health professionals to identify needs and coordinate services.
• Manage technical, environmental, and financial resources effectively.
• Document patient progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques to enhance recovery and independence.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist in acute care, rehab, or home care settings.
• Certified home care OT licensure and registered with the Board of Registration in Massachusetts.
• Proficiency in using various computer software; knowledge of hand-held patient care devices preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work with diverse populations.
• Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing situations.
• Travel required within the designated geographic area.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required.
