Summary
Join the WCS Healthcare Partners team as an Occupational Therapist in the vibrant community of Newton, MA. Provide essential home care services to a diverse range of patients, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care and support.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to patients in their homes with cognitive and/or physical impairments due to injury, disease, or disability.
- Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and allied health professionals to identify needs and coordinate services.
- Manage technical, environmental, and financial resources effectively.
- Document patient progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques to enhance recovery and independence.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist in acute care, rehab, or home care settings.
- Certified home care OT licensure and registered with the Board of Registration in Massachusetts.
- Proficiency in using various computer software; knowledge of hand-held patient care devices preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work with diverse populations.
- Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing situations.
- Travel required within the designated geographic area.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required.
