Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in labor and delivery, ensuring the highest standards of nursing practice.
• Assist with various procedures, including cesarean sections, amniocentesis, and high-risk deliveries.
• Administer medications and therapies such as anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, and magnesium sulfate therapy.
• Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate patterns and manage labor and delivery complications.
• Perform postpartum care, including hemorrhage management and newborn care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float among five hospitals as needed, including the High-Risk Obstetric Unit (HROB).

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of specialty experience in labor and delivery, with recent experience within the last 12 months.
• Active New Jersey RN license required.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP are mandatory.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is required.
• Ability to circulate and scrub for C-sections.
• Willingness to work every other weekend and one winter and one summer holiday.
• Must be able to pass a Dysrhythmia Test within 72 hours of signing the contract.
