Description

Respiratory Care / Respiratory Therapist

Join our dynamic healthcare team at WCS Healthcare Partners in New Brunswick, NJ, a vibrant city known for its diverse culture and excellent amenities. As a Respiratory Care / Respiratory Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care in a supportive and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory care to adult and pediatric patients, including blood gas analysis, ventilator management, and medication administration.
  • Respond to code situations and participate in in-house patient transport.
  • Float between PICU, ED, and Adult Critical Care, adapting to various patient needs and unit requirements.
  • Perform procedures such as extubation, intubation assistance, airway management, and tracheostomy care.
  • Utilize and manage equipment such as Servo I & U and V60 BiPAP.
  • Document patient care using the EPIC charting system.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory care, with PICU/NICU experience highly preferred.
  • Active NJ License, BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required at the time of submission.
  • Proficiency in adult critical care, emergency department procedures, and mechanical ventilation management.
  • Ability to troubleshoot high-pressure alarms and wean patients from mechanical ventilation.
  • Willingness to work every other weekend and adhere to the agreed-upon schedule.
