Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a medical-surgical setting, with the support of a registered nurse.
• Administer blood products and manage central and peripheral lines.
• Perform phlebotomy, PICC line management, and start/maintain IVs.
• Manage high flow nasal cannula, nasal cannula, and oxygen administration.
• Conduct trach care and manage feeding tubes.
• Implement heparin protocols and manage pacemakers (temporary and permanent).
• Monitor telemetry on the unit and respond to rapid response/code teams as needed.
• Practice isolation precautions and perform wound care/wound vac procedures.
• Care for patients with orthopedic trauma and total joint replacements, including surgical drains.

Requirements

• Active New York Single State LPN license (NY is not Compact).
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the last 2 years.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required.
• Experience with EPIC charting system.
• Must be able to float within skillset.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend.
• Willingness to work every other holiday, if needed.
