WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team in Gardner, MA. Responsibilities

• Conducts interactions with everyone in a friendly, courteous, and respectful manner
• Advocates to ensure privacy and confidentiality while helping others to maintain awareness
• Maintains a clean and safe hospital environment
• Responds appropriately and immediately in emergency situations
• Ensures compliance with regulations to maintain accreditation and licensure
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing interventions/plans of care/patient goals
• Provides patient care based on standards of care and established policies and procedures
• Collaborates with surgeon, anesthesiologist, and surgical technicians to assure the patients' well-being during surgical intervention
• Maintains sterile fields and directs the correct care, handling, and sterilization of sterile supplies and instruments
• Identifies patients correctly by checking patient identification bands and consent forms
• Applies principles of aseptic practice and oversees the selection and preparation of supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for all surgical cases
• Maintains sponge, needle, and instrument counts according to policies and procedures

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum 2 years of O.R. nursing experience; CNOR strongly preferred
• Current MA RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NRP certification required
• Ability to function in an environment with competing priorities is a must
• Excellent communication skills, ability to multitask, and a can-do attitude
