Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures competently and professionally.
• Ensure the availability and maintenance of equipment and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Scrub for surgical procedures and perform duties as assigned by the registered nurse (RN).
• Perform direct patient care duties, including assisting physicians during procedures.
• Maintain required clinical knowledge, technical skills, equipment, training, and credentials.
• Adapt to change in a positive and constructive manner.
• Ensure cleanliness and disinfection of endoscopes while maintaining quality control measures.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accepted course in surgical technology certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Certification in Surgical Technology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to be self-directed.
• Ability to demonstrate good judgment.
