Join our team at WCS Healthcare Partners as a NICU Travel Nurse in Hartford, CT, where you'll have the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art Level IV NICU. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to neonates in a 48-bed Level IV NICU.
• Administer blood and blood products, antibiotics, antivirals, and anti-seizure medications.
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, and chest tubes.
• Perform APGAR scoring and developmental care for neonates.
• Support breastfeeding and handle breast milk appropriately.
• Conduct blood glucose monitoring and administer insulin as needed.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, and provide respiratory support including ventilator management.
• Educate and provide support to families regarding patient care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary teams including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Respiratory Services.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a NICU setting, with Level 4 experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Valid State License or Compact License.
• Proficient in neonatal dosage calculations and management of neonatal conditions such as Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome and Respiratory Distress Syndrome.
• Experience with NICU equipment and procedures such as bubble CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and therapeutic hypothermia.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including day/night rotations and weekends.
