Summary
Join our dedicated team at WCS Healthcare Partners as a NICU Travel Nurse in Hartford, CT. Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care for neonates in a Level IV NICU setting.
- Administer medications, including anti-seizure drugs and antibiotics.
- Manage arterial lines and central lines, and perform blood glucose monitoring.
- Support breastfeeding and handle breast milk appropriately.
- Conduct APGAR scoring and assist with lumbar punctures.
- Monitor and manage ventilators, including AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP settings.
- Deliver patient and family education to ensure comprehensive care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a NICU setting.
- Experience in Level 4 NICU required.
- Travel experience is required.
- Must hold a valid State License or Compact License.
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS.
- Experience with a patient ratio of 1:3 preferred.
- Flexibility to work a day/night rotating schedule, including weekends.
