Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Manage and monitor patients on ventilators and other life-support equipment.
• Administer medications, including emergency medications, and manage IV drips.
• Interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure infection prevention and isolation precautions are followed.
• Participate in patient and family education and support.
• Document patient care and treatment plans accurately and timely using Cerner charting system.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Experience with a patient ratio of 2:1.
• Proficiency in managing arterial lines, central lines, and ventilators.
• Knowledgeable in CVA/acute stroke management and ECMO care.
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system is preferred.
• Must hold an active PA or Compact RN license.
• Flu vaccine required, with medical/religious exemptions only.
