Core Responsibilities

Medication administration and implementation of respiratory care
Delivering patient care in complex, multiple problem-patient care situations
Protocol ventilator management in critical care areas
Significant independent decision-making and self-direction
Patient, family/support system education
Coordination of activities
Staff development
Professional and self-developmental activities

Patient Care Approach

Provides patient care with an understanding and awareness of population-specific needs
Addresses the biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and patient/family education needs when providing care

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
