- Medication administration and implementation of respiratory care
- Delivering patient care in complex, multiple problem-patient care situations
- Protocol ventilator management in critical care areas

- Patient, family/support system education
- Coordination of activities
- Staff development
- Professional and self-developmental activities
Patient Care Approach
- Provides patient care with an understanding and awareness of population-specific needs
- Addresses the biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and patient/family education needs when providing care
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
