Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in the PACU and ambulatory unit.
- Collaborate with Radiology to assist in diagnostic testing, particularly MRI procedures.
- Manage patient care in Phase I and Phase II recovery settings.
- Perform pre-admission testing and pre-post operative care.
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams including interpretation services, social services, and pharmacy.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric nursing, preferably in a PACU or ambulatory setting.
- Experience with Epic charting system is required.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS are required.
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center is preferred.
- Must hold or be eligible for a permanent nursing license in Connecticut.
