Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in the PACU and ambulatory unit.
  • Collaborate with Radiology to assist in diagnostic testing, particularly MRI procedures.
  • Manage patient care in Phase I and Phase II recovery settings.
  • Perform pre-admission testing and pre-post operative care.
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams including interpretation services, social services, and pharmacy.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric nursing, preferably in a PACU or ambulatory setting.
  • Experience with Epic charting system is required.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS are required.
  • Experience in a Level I Trauma Center is preferred.
  • Must hold or be eligible for a permanent nursing license in Connecticut.
