Summary

Join the dynamic team at WCS Healthcare Partners located in Bridgeport, CT. As a Registered Nurse in the SICU, you'll be part of a facility that is a Level II Trauma Center and part of the prestigious Yale New Haven Health System. This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment with state-of-the-art facilities and a comprehensive interdisciplinary support system.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care to critically ill patients in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU).
  • Manage dysrhythmias and provide arterial and central line care.
  • Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips as needed.
  • Manage BiPAP/CPAP and care for ventilated patients, including suctioning.
  • Implement isolation precautions and use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Respiratory Services.
  • Participate in Rapid Response Teams and ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
  • Experience with Epic charting system.
  • Experience in managing trauma Level I and II patients is preferred.
  • Strong skills in managing critical care equipment, including CRRT.
