Summary
Join the dynamic team at WCS Healthcare Partners located in Bridgeport, CT. As a Registered Nurse in the SICU, you'll be part of a facility that is a Level II Trauma Center and part of the prestigious Yale New Haven Health System. This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment with state-of-the-art facilities and a comprehensive interdisciplinary support system.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care to critically ill patients in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU).
- Manage dysrhythmias and provide arterial and central line care.
- Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips as needed.
- Manage BiPAP/CPAP and care for ventilated patients, including suctioning.
- Implement isolation precautions and use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Respiratory Services.
- Participate in Rapid Response Teams and ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
- Experience with Epic charting system.
- Experience in managing trauma Level I and II patients is preferred.
- Strong skills in managing critical care equipment, including CRRT.
