We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team at WCS Healthcare Partners. This role involves assisting in surgical operations, preparing operating rooms, and ensuring a sterile environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical procedures, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with surgical teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing operating rooms for surgery by setting up surgical instruments and equipment.
• Ensure the maintenance of a sterile environment through proper sterilization and disinfection techniques.
• Assist surgeons during operations by handling instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including fire, laser, radiation, and sharps safety.
• Handle and label specimens accurately for laboratory analysis.
• Participate in the Universal Protocol (Time Out) procedure to ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient and effective operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Current BLS certification.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• Proficiency in general and ambulatory OR procedures.
• Experience in various surgical specialties, including General Surgery, Gynecology, Orthopedics, and Urology.
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines are required, with medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed.
• Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and sterilization processes.
