Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel.
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery by arranging equipment and ensuring the necessary supplies are available.
- Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room.
- Hand instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures.
- Ensure all surgical equipment is functioning properly before procedures.
- Help in the post-operative care of patients.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a surgical technologist.
- RN license or CST certification required.
- BLS certification required.
- Experience in Cardiac and Vascular procedures preferred.
- Experience with Total Joint, Neuro/Spine procedures is advantageous.
- Must be willing to take on-call duties, including one possible weekend per month and potential holiday on-call assignments.
