Responsibilities

  • Assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel.
  • Prepare operating rooms for surgery by arranging equipment and ensuring the necessary supplies are available.
  • Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room.
  • Hand instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures.
  • Ensure all surgical equipment is functioning properly before procedures.
  • Help in the post-operative care of patients.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a surgical technologist.
  • RN license or CST certification required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Experience in Cardiac and Vascular procedures preferred.
  • Experience with Total Joint, Neuro/Spine procedures is advantageous.
  • Must be willing to take on-call duties, including one possible weekend per month and potential holiday on-call assignments.
