Description

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Critical Care Stepdown unit.
Monitor and manage patients with conditions such as Congestive Heart Failure, post-heart catheterization, and respiratory failure.
Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management.
Administer medications, including emergency medications and cardiac drips.
Manage BiPAP/CPAP and assist with chest tube procedures.
Conduct frequent vital signs and neurovascular checks.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of recent Step-Down experience.
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Proficient in cardiac telemetry, IV start and maintenance, and PICC line management.
Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and blood product administration.
Strong skills in infection prevention and isolation precautions.
Experience in a community hospital setting is required.
