Description
Join WCS Healthcare Partners in Greensburg, PA, a vibrant community known for its rich history and welcoming atmosphere. This position offers a dynamic work environment in a supportive team setting, providing critical care to adult and geriatric patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Manage arterial lines, central lines, and ventilated patients.
- Administer blood products and emergency medications.
- Monitor and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory services, and physical therapy.
- Ensure infection prevention and maintain isolation precautions as needed.
- Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion/removal and ECMO care.
- Perform titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips effectively.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience.
- Active PA or Compact RN license.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Preferred experience with Cerner charting system.
- Ability to manage a patient ratio of 2:1.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Experience in a community hospital setting is preferred.
