Description
Join WCS Healthcare Partners in Greensburg, PA, where you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic Labor & Delivery unit. As part of our team, you will play an essential role in providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and their newborns.
- Administer medications and manage labor processes, including epidurals and Pitocin.
- Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including high-risk and multiple births.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and child.
- Conduct newborn assessments and provide postpartum care, including breastfeeding support.
- Educate and support parents with discharge teaching and newborn care instructions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery.
- Previous charge experience preferred.
- Experience with Cerner charting system preferred.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required.
- Experience with a patient ratio of 1-2.
- Strong skills in neonatal resuscitation and emergency response.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
