Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to patients in the Emergency Department, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients.
• Manage common patient diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction (MI), cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
• Utilize specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in floating assignments as required.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Demonstrate charge capability, which is highly preferred.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting, with some pediatric experience.
• Current and active NY RN license, with verification through NURSYS.
• Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
• Experience with electronic medical records, specifically EPIC.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. shifts.
• Willingness to float to different units as necessary.
