Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in the emergency department.
• Administer IV therapy, including blood product administration and central line care.
• Manage ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP machines for patients with respiratory needs.
• Conduct cardiac monitoring and manage dysrhythmias effectively.
• Perform triage and prioritize patient care based on severity of condition.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the EPIC charting system.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Participate in continuous education and training modules to maintain clinical competencies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting.
• Active New York Single State RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Proficiency in EPIC charting system.
• Strong clinical skills in IV therapy, ventilator management, and emergency care.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-stress environment.
• Willingness to work every other weekend and holiday as needed.
• Flexibility to float within skillset as required.
