Responsibilities

• Assess patients' clinical conditions, recognizing, identifying and interpreting serious situations, and taking appropriate action.
• Formulate nursing diagnoses to provide care for patients across the life span, including medical, surgical, psychiatric, and obstetrical patients.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care, considering cultural, religious, physical, and psychosocial needs.
• Initiate emergency measures when necessary, including resuscitative actions.
• Operate and monitor specialized emergency care equipment.
• Administer medications and IV therapy as prescribed by the physician.
• Educate patients and families on preventative, curative, and rehabilitative measures.
• Document observations, interventions, and patient progress.
• Provide guidance and oversight to licensed practical nurses and unlicensed personnel.
• Maintain and promote professional growth and adherence to ethical standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
• Active NY RN License.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Successful completion of pre-employment credentialing clearances.
