Responsibilities

• Utilize strong critical-thinking skills and adapt to available resources to provide comprehensive care in the operating room.
• Apply a well-rounded clinical approach across a variety of surgical procedures and responsibilities.
• Ensure proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation essential for patient care, independently measuring telemetry strips and accurately interpreting cardiac rhythms for all telemetry patients.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Maintain compliance with all safety and infection control protocols, including fire and radiation safety.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an operating room setting, with strong orthopedic experience preferred.
• Current NY State license or compact license (if applicable).
• Certifications required: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• Proficiency in various surgical procedures such as abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, appendectomy, arthroscopy, and more.
• Experience with electronic medical records, preferably Allscripts or Paragon systems.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed, with guaranteed 40 hours per week.
