WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Nurse at a prestigious hospital in Albany, NY. Travelers can earn up to $2,400 per week for this role.  

Job Function:

• Night Shift.
• 3x12.

• Prepare and administer prescribed medications via oral, subcutaneous, or intravenous routes, ensuring accurate documentation in patient records.​

• Monitor patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments and report findings promptly, adhering to established protocols for medication administration.​

• Provide comprehensive education to patients regarding surgical procedures, including preoperative and postoperative care.​

• Accurately record and monitor patients' medical information and vital signs, promptly identifying and addressing any deviations from normal parameters.​

• Operate and adjust specialized equipment used in surgical procedures, interpreting and recording electronic displays to assist in patient care.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or bachelor's degree in nursing  (BSN).  
• Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain).  
• 2 of experience as an Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN) in this specialty.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
