Description

WCS is seeking a Stepdown RN for a Local Contract, at a prestigious hospital in New York.

Job Function:

Day Shift and Night Shift.
3x12.
Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, recognizing early signs of deterioration and escalating appropriately.
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards.
Provide direct patient care including post-surgical management, cardiac/telemetry monitoring, and ventilator/trach support as needed.
Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and families to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Job Requirements:

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
Current RN license for the state of New York.
2 years of acute ICU/MICU RN experience is required.
BLS & ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
EPIC experience highly preferred.
