Description

WCS is seeking a Stepdown RN for a Local Contract, at a prestigious hospital in New York.

 

 


Job Function:

  • Day Shift and Night Shift.
  • 3x12.
  • Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, recognizing early signs of deterioration and escalating appropriately.

  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards.

  • Provide direct patient care including post-surgical management, cardiac/telemetry monitoring, and ventilator/trach support as needed.

  • Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and families to develop and implement individualized care plans.

  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).

 


Job Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).  
  • Current RN license for the state of New York.
  • 2 years of acute ICU/MICU RN experience is required.  
  • BLS & ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
  • EPIC experience highly preferred.
