A medical center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Detox Acute Inpatient unit on a local contract basis, in East Orange, NW. This is a great opportunity to make an impact in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Job Function

• Day Shift.

• Administers medications, treatments, and physician-ordered interventions in compliance with program protocols and legal regulations.

• Conducts patient assessments, including physical exams, health histories, TB screenings, and monitors patient response using tools like CIWA-Ar and COWS.

• Documents all patient observations, treatments, and interactions accurately and timely in accordance with nursing standards and organizational policies.

• Collaborates with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and pharmacists to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.

• Maintains a safe, sanitary environment while applying infection control practices and participating in safety and emergency procedures.

Job Requirements:

• 1 year nursing experience in a detox or acute care facility.

• At least 1 year of experience in addiction management preferred.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current New Jersey Registered Nurse license.

• Required certification: BLS-CPR.
