Description

WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a surgical technologist for an ongoing assignment at Prestigious Hospital in Jacksonville, FL.  


Job Function:

  • Night Shift.
  • 3X8:-7am-3pm.
  • Maintain proper sterile field during surgical procedures.     
  • Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operation and document according to policy.  
  • Prepare patients for surgery as requested.     
  • Provide technical assistance to surgeons, OR nurses, or anesthesiologists as needed.     
  • Wash and sterilize equipment using proper sterilization techniques.  
  • Operate, adjust, and maintain equipment to ensure proper operation.     
  • Take inventory and order surgical supplies as needed.     

Job Requirements:  

  • Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program.   
  • Preferred they hold a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).   
  • BLS preferred (American Heart Association).   
  • 3 months + working as a CST.
