Local Contract Nurse RN - Endoscopy

WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Endoscopy Nurse a for a 13-week contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in NYC.  

Job Function:  

• Day Shift.
• 3x12: 8am-8:30pm.
• Organizing and preparing exam rooms, knowledge of medication, pre-op and post op steps, providing surgical assistance, medication control lists, documenting accurately and timely information regarding patient conditions.  
• Direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken and patient responses  
• Collaborates with surgeons, surgical technologists, and other members of the surgical team. Procedures include but not limited to: procedures such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, GI, etc.    
• Assists in development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of care and nursing professional practice in collaboration with members of the health care team and in accordance with institutional policies and regulatory agency requirements.  

Job Requirements:  

• Graduate from an accredited  School of Nursing, or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing  (BSN).  
• Current RN license for the state of New Jersey.
• 2  years of acute Endoscopy RN experience is required.   
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications  from the American Heart Association.   
• EPIC experience preferred.
