WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Radiology Technologist for a contract assignment at Prestigious Surgery Center in Hamden, CT.  

Job Function:

• Day Shift: Monday through Thursday.
• 6:30AM to 3PM.
• Position patients and adjust equipment to obtain high-quality images as per physician's specifications.
• Set up, operate, and maintain imaging equipment in compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of patients by maintaining equipment, assessing procedural conditions, and prioritizing both physical and physiological comfort.
• Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff by implementing strict radiation protection protocols and techniques.

Job Requirements:  

• 2 years of experience as a General Radiology Technologist preferred.
• Proficiency in operating a wide range of imaging equipment, including setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Up-to-date knowledge of current trends in clinical practice, healthcare informatics, and innovations in imaging hardware and software technologies.
• Graduate of an accredited radiology program with ARRT certification.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
