Description
WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, direct care to medically fragile children in foster care, based in the Bronx, NY.
Job Function:
- Day Shift.
- 9:00 AM–5:00 PM or 8:30 AM–4:30 PM.
Conduct monthly home visits and accompany children to specialty medical appointments as needed.
Provide medical oversight for foster youth with complex medical conditions.
Communicate with foster parents, biological families, healthcare providers, and ACS.
Participate in ER visits, hospitalizations, and other community-based appointments.
Ensure compliance with regulatory documentation and maintain accurate medical records.
Train foster and biological parents on medication administration, equipment use, and health practices.
Lead workshops for staff on pediatric medical care topics.
Job Requirements:
Active NYS Registered Nurse license.
1–2+ years of RN experience (new graduates not eligible).
Pediatric home health and/or foster care experience.
Experience with medically fragile or high-acuity pediatric populations strongly preferred.
Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
