Description
WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Labor and Delivery Nurse a for a 13-week, 26-week and long-term temp contract assignments at a Prestigious Hospital in NYC.
Job Function:
- Night Shift.
- 8PM-8:30AM.
- Categorizes patients in the appropriate level of classification.
- Applies external fetal monitor and interprets fetal heart tracing and uterine activity.
- Implements intervention appropriately based on fetal heart rate pattern and maternal status during labor.
- Identifies emergency situations, observes age and notifies provider accordingly.
- Screens patients for pain during the initial assessment and reassess according to guidelines.
- Assists the physicians/midwife during a delivery.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Current RN license for the state of NY.
- 2 years of acute L&D RN experience is required.
- BLS & ACLS , NRP certifications from the American Heart Association.
- NIHSS certification required.
- EPIC experience required.
