WCS Healthcare is currently hiring an experienced  Pediatric  RN for a contract assignment at a prestigious hospital in Hempstead, NY.

Job Function:  

• Day Shift.

  7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

• Conduct  age‑appropriate assessments, ask diagnostic questions, and document symptoms and medical history for physician review.  
• Provide initial and ongoing care based on a child’s developmental needs and clinical condition.  
• Identify changes in  pediatric  patients’ symptoms and intervene promptly in emergency situations.  
• Participate in  pediatric  pain management using evidence‑based,  age‑appropriate strategies.  
• Administer medications, draw blood, and give childhood vaccinations  in accordance with  pediatric  guidelines.  
• Monitor and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure.  
• Support parents and caregivers by addressing concerns, reducing anxiety, and helping families navigate illness or injury.  

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years pediatric RN experience (Ambulatory or Pediatric Med‑Surg acceptable)

• Travel experience required: Yes (unit does not accept first‑time travelers)

• EPIC experience: Required

• NY RN license: Must be in hand or have ETA

• BLS
