WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Medical Surgical Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Albany, NY. Travelers can earn up to $2,400 per week for this role. 

Job Function:

• Day Shift and Night Shift.
• 3x12.

• Prepare and administer prescribed medications via oral, subcutaneous, or intravenous routes, ensuring accurate documentation.​

• Monitor patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments and report findings promptly, adhering to established protocols.​

• Educate patients on surgical procedures, providing clear and comprehensive information.​

• Record patients' medical information and vital signs accurately.​

• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, interpreting and recording electronic displays.​

• Initiate corrective actions when deviations from expected patient conditions are observed.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or bachelor's degree in nursing  (BSN).  
• Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain).  
• 2 years of experience as a Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) and Telemetry (Tele) Registered Nurse (RN) in this specialty.  
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
